Workshops for Teachers

Teachers_copy1.gifAll-day programs focusing on timely, critical international issues with national and international experts, in-depth discussions, informative small-group sessions, and lesson plan design. 

Workshops are approved for Act 48 professional credit.

Teacher In-Service Programs

Upon the request of schools, school districts, or intermediate units, the Council has provided speakers and activities to supplement various in-service programs.

"World in Transition" Teacher Workshops


Teacher-based training workshops in collaboration with the Southern Center for International Studies (SCIS), as an initiative of the World Affairs Councils of America.  These workshops help provide teachers with up-to-date information, materials, resources, and ideas for teaching about contemporary global issues.  Each participant receives materials from The World in Transition multimedia educational series developed by SCIS.
